Notice is hereby given in terms of Section 49(1)(a)(i)(c) read together with section 78(2) of the Local Government: Municipal Property Rates Act, 2004 (Act No. 6 of 2004), herein referred to as the “Act”, that the supplementary valuation roll 03 for the financial years 01st July 2019 to 30th June 2024 is open for public inspection at the address listed below, from 01 July 2021 till 13 August 2021 at 13h30.
An invitation is hereby made in terms of the Section 49(1)(a)(ii)read with section 78(2) of the Act that any owner of a property or other person who so desires can lodge an objection with the municipal manager in respect of any matter reflected in, or omitted from the supplementary valuation roll within the abovementioned period.
Attention is specifically drawn to the fact that in terms of Section 50(2) of the Act, an objection must be in relation to a specific individual property and not against the supplementary valuation roll as such. The forms for lodging of objections are obtainable at the address listed below, or at the following website: www.emalahleni.gov.za
Please note the following:
a) The date of valuation is 1 July 2018.
The completed form must be returned to the address listed below on or before the
13th August 2021. Objections received after this period may not be considered. No objections received by fax or e-mail will be accepted.
