Update On Water Quality

This notice has reference to the media statement issued earlier on the 25 February 2022.

The Municipal team is hard at work 24/7 to ensure that portable water is always safe for human consumption by testing water on our purification plant at regular intervals which has observed that the water is not of good quality thus advising on the required precautions.

It be noted that the cause is not on the part of the Municipal mechanical system but due to the shortage of chlorine supply country wide, however the chlorine stock pile has been resolved to enable us to increase chlorine dosage to mitigate the challenge in the water network system.

The Municipality is hard at work continuing to monitor the quality of water 24/7.
The community is advised not to panic and update notices will be issued as and when it is necessary to do so.
