Focusing on the intersection between food security and climate change, the Emalahleni Local Municipality calls on all the social partners (individually and collectively) to help our communities by actively supporting and contributing to inter-alia the following:
Poverty alleviation programmes (food security)
Poverty alleviation programmes (food security)
Awareness blitz on Climate change and Just Energy Transition in respect of Skills Development, Job creation and concomitant business opportunities for sustainable development.
Operation “Emalahleni Hlanzeka”
Guided by the Mandela Foundation and the 2022 Mandela Month Theme, the municipality has selected the abovementioned three (3) areas of focus in honour of Mandela’s legacy and contribution to peace, national reconciliation, equal access to justice, inclusive growth and development.
Let us all contribute a minimum of
67 minutes of our time helping out destitute households, and or vulnerable population of our communities (children, women, people with disabilities and senior citizens), so that Emalahleni can be a better place to live in, a social and business destination of choice.
Active citizenship is the way to go, volunteer to do what you can, with what you have, and where you are.
