In line with Regulation 480 issued on 29 April 2020 by the Department of Corporative Governance and Traditional Affairs as per the declaration of a National Lockdown pronounced by the President of the Republic of South Africa in the aim to stop the spread of COVID- 19, notice is hereby given that the Provincial MEC of Health in Mpumalanga has declared Emalahleni Local Municipality as a COVID- 19 positive cases.
It is based on this declaration that the community of Emalahleni should take precautions and adhere to the COVID- 19 guidelines as prescribed by the Department of Health and the National Coronavirus Command Council. At all times, community members are urged to wear their mask whenever they are in public spaces. Social distancing, washing of the hands and or the use of alcohol based sanitizers is highly recommended.
In-case one exhibits the symptoms associated with COVID-19, necessary medical precautions such as consulting a doctor, self-isolation and quarantine should be explored.
