EMALAHLENI LOCAL MUNICIPALITY MPUMALANGA INVITES TENDERS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF DOORNPOORT PUMPING MAIN AND PUMPSTATION – PHASE 2
It is estimated that tenderers should have a CIDB contractor grading of 7CE or higher. 6CE Potentially Emerging Enterprises that satisfy criteria stated in the Tender Data may submit Tender offers.
Preferences are offered to tenderers who have a grading of 7CE or higher/6CE PE
Tender Documents will be available from www.emalahleni.gov.za or www.etenders.gov.za
Duly completed tenders enclosed in a sealed envelope marked “CONSTRUCTION OF DOORNPOORT PUMPING MAIN AND PUMP STATION – PHASE 2, BID NO. ELM 02/2025, CLOSING DATE: 20 SEPTEMBER 2024” with the name of the Tenderer, shall be deposited in the clearly marked tender box situated at Emalahleni Local Municipality, Civic Centre, 29 Mandela Street, eMalahleni, 1035 before 11h00 on the closing date. The tenders will thereafter be opened in public.
A non-compulsory virtual clarification meeting with representatives of the Employer will take place on Tuesday, 27 August 2024 starting at 10h00 via Microsoft Teams. Tenderers are required to register to attend the virtual briefing to be conducted by the client's Representative by sending details (email address and representative name and surname) of the bidding entity to tenders@lefatsheinfra.co.za. A Microsoft Teams invite will be sent to the bidding entities registered no later than Monday, 26 August 2024 at 16:00.
A preferential point system shall apply whereby a contract will be allocated to a tenderer in accordance with the Preferential Procurement Regulations, 2022 and as defined in the Conditions of Tender in the tender document, read in conjunction with the Supply Chain Management Policy of ELM where 80 points will be allocated in respect of price and 20 points in respect of Specific goals.
No awards will be made to a person:
- Who is in the service of the state;
- If that person not a natural person, of which any director,
manager, principal shareholder or stakeholder is a person in the
service of the state and or;
- who is an advisor or consultant contracted with the municipality or municipal entity.
The Municipality reserves the right to withdraw any invitation to tender and /or to re-advertise or to reject any tender or to accept a part
of it.

A clarification meeting with representatives of the Employer will take place at MICROSOFT TEAMS on 27 August 2024 starting at 10h00.
The closing time for receipt of Tenders is 11h00 on Friday, September 20, 2024.
Emailed and Late Tenders will not be accepted.
Tenders may only be submitted on the tender documentation that is issued.
