A non-refundable tender deposit of R0.00 payable by is required on collection of the Tender documents. The submitted bid shall comply with the minimum stipulated threshold(s) for local production and content. Tenderers who employ staff which satisfy EPWP requirements are eligible to submit tenders. The successful tenderer must subcontract a minimum of 30% of the value of the contract.

A non-compulsory clarification meeting with representatives of the Employer will take place on Tuesday, 07 June 2022 at 11h00 on Microsoft Teams. Tenderers are required to register for attending the virtual briefing to be conducted by the Clients Representative by sending details (email address and representative name and surname) of the bidding entity to christo@lyon.co.za. A Microsoft Teams invite will be sent to the bidding entities registered not later than 06 June 2022 at 12:00.

A preferential point system shall apply whereby a contract will be allocated to a tenderer in accordance with the Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act, Act No. 5 of 2000 and as defined in the Conditions of Tender in the tender document, read in
conjunction with the Supply Chain Management Policy of Emalahleni Local Municipality where 90 points will be allocated in respect of price and 10 points in respect of B-BBEE Status Level of Contribution.

The municipality reserves the right to withdraw any invitation to tender and/or to re-advertise or to reject any tender or to accept a a part of it. The municipality does not bind itself to accepting the lowest tender.

Fully completed tender documents, clearly marked with the ‘‘NAME of the Tenderer’’ must be placed in a sealed envelope and placed in the tender box situated outside the Civic Centre, First floor, Emalahleni Local Municipality, 29 Mandela Street, eMalahleni 1035 or sent via courier services to the above mentioned address.

A clarification meeting with representitives of the Employer will take place at Microsoft Teams on 07 June 2022 starting at 11h00.
The closing time for receipt of Tenders is 11h00 on Friday, July 8, 2022.
Telephonic, Telegraphic, Telex, Facsimile, Emailed and Late Tenders will not be accepted. Tenders may only be submitted on the tender documentation that is issued.
