IT IS NOW COMPULSORY TO WEAR A FACE MASK IN A PUBLIC SPACE

In line with the statement made by the President on the 28th of December 2020 on the progress in the national effort to contain the COVID- 19 Pandemic. The Local Disaster Management Committee, hereby wish to emphasis the need follow the COVID- 19 regulations and protocols.

Members of the community are encouraged to continuously;
  1. Wash their hands and sanitize
  2. Wear the facecloth Mask
  3. Keep a safe distance from others

From now on it is compulsory to wear a mask in a public space. A person who does not wear a cloth mask covering over the nose a mouth in a public place will be committing an offence.

A person who does not wear a mask will be arrested and prosecuted. On conviction, he/she will be liable to a fine or to imprisonment for a period not exceeding six months or to both a fine and imprisonment.
