Notice is hereby given in terms of Section 116 (3) (b) of the Municipal Finance Management Act 56 of 2003, for the amendment of the following existing contract:

Notice is hereby given in terms of section 21 and 21A of the Local Government: Municipal Systems Act, 2000 (Act 32 of 2000) that, the local community and interested/affected parties be invited to submit comments or representations to the municipality in respect of the above contract, such comments or representations must be received within 14 days of the advertisement via electronic mail or e-mail address provided below, or be hand delivered to the undersigned mailing address provided hereunder. Persons who are physically disabled or who cannot read or write and wish to participate in the process, may visit the municipality during office hours at the Emalahleni Local Municipality, Financial Management offices, ground floor, 29 Mandela street, eMalahleni,1035.

Due to the magnitude risk of losing financial data, systems compatibility and the limitation of technical capabilities to enable a seamless transition, the municipality is unable to source the services of a financial system vendor immediately. It is therefore impractical and cost ineffective for the municipality to appoint a new service provider within a short period of time hence the process of extension is being implemented. The purpose of the extension is to enable the Municipality to comply with the Municipal Finance Management Act and other relevant regulations. The extension is in compliance with Section 116 (3) (b) of the Municipal Finance Management Act 56 of 2003.

The members of the public are hereby invited to submit representations, inputs and comments within 14 days of advertisement, on or before 27 June 2024 at 12:00 to the following e-mail address: mokonenita@emalahleni.gov.za or be hand delivered to the undersigned address provided hereunder.
